This one just hits too close to him, with what my mother said to me.
The eye-roll.
The interrogation.
Who was home, can any one confirm this. You just don’t want to go with us to visit him so you can stay home and go to parties. Why did you answer the door. You knew you weren’t supposed to.
And then:
It’s not his fault. He’s a sick man. You’re just going to have to deal with it.
Thats how my mom was. But it was her husband.
She said she didn’t believe me. That I must have been pissed at him and made it up. That I am being a drama queen. That I MISUNDERSTOOD.
Then she witnessed it one day when she came home early, and it became that I seduced him, and I wanted it.
